Blake Koch – Charlotte Motor Speedway Advance

Blake Koch at Charlotte Motor Speedway… Blake Koch has seven previous starts in the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) at Charlotte Motor Speedway (CMS). His best-career start (sixth) and finish (12th) came the last time the series raced at CMS in October 2016. In this race last season, Koch finished 14th after starting 18th.

Sounding Off- Blake Koch… “We had a really good test here earlier this month, so we learned some things that didn’t work and have a head start heading into this weekend. There’s a lot we can take from the 1.5-mile tracks earlier this season that we can apply to Charlotte. We’ve missed a little something at these tracks so far, but we are working really hard and know we will figure them out by playoff time. We had a huge confidence boost winning the pole in Talladega and will carry that momentum into this weekend.”

2017 Season… Koch is currently ninth in the NXS Championship standings after nine races. He’s recorded one top-10 and six top-15 finishes so far in 2017. Koch earned his first-career NXS pole at Talladega Superspeedway the last time the NXS was on track with a speed of 183.49 mph. Unfortunately, Koch’s day was cut short after getting caught up in a multi-car incident with five laps remaining in Stage 2, relegating him to a 31st-place finish.
